Pre-owned vans are sold "Reconditioned" or "As Is".

"Reconditioned"
A pre-owned "reconditioned" van sold by the Butler Corporation is a van that has been subject to inspections by local independent mechanical and body shops. Anything found during inspections determined to be mechanically unsound, including brakes, exhaust and suspension items are repaired or replaced. All fluid levels are checked, the engine oil and oil filter are changed, the chassis is lubricated and the engine is tuned, subject to condition and mileage. Bumpers, glass and all cosmetic trim are inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. Tires that are worn "beyond reasonable" are replaced. Previous signage is removed and the vans body may be repaired and/or painted prior to final detailing.

Customers may be entitled to receive any remaining portion of the warranty coverage provided by the van manufacturer. The Butler Corporation provides a 90-day/3000 mile, whichever occurs first, 50/50 Powertrain Warranty when the van manufacturer’s warranty is not applicable. This warranty is provided regardless of whether the Butler System is new or pre-owned.

All pre-owned vans described below are "reconditioned" unless otherwise noted.

"As Is" With No Warranty
A van sold "as is," with no warranty expressed or implied, can be a van that does not require reconditioning, a van that customers prefer to purchase before it is "reconditioned" or a van that has been determined impractical to "recondition".

The Butler Corporation manufactures specific Butler System components to be in compliance with the vehicle manufacturer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating* (GVWR). It is important to consider the total of all intended weight to be carried when purchasing or supplying a vehicle for the installation of the Butler System. Weights to consider would include the weight of the vehicle, vehicle options, occupants, the Butler System and options, a full tank of fuel, the amount of water being transported and an additional allocation for other equipment, cleaning products, supplies and tools, etc.

*GVWR is the maximum amount of weight allowable as established by the vehicle manufacturer for the vehicle, equipment, payload, fuel and occupants.

Note: The Butler Corporation reserves the right to examine any vehicle supplied for installation of the Butler System. We reserve the right to decline installation and be under no obligation to reimburse for any expenses or inconvenience incurred should we determine that the Butler equipment selected would exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating and/or the Butler System is not adaptable to the vehicle or that it would be unsafe to install our system into an existing vehicle.
